About Us

Banzaï

Hi, I used to be imab00kworm, then I changed my name, I hope you don’t mind.

I’m 19 years old and I know I still have a lot to learn. I’m currently studying IT in Paris in a school for geeks, it’s where I belong but I also belong here despite having very little time to write.

This is an introduction to me but I honestly don’t know what to write, I could tell you that I love magic (and dragons of course), or I could tell you about the times when I left school after midnight with a few friends to cycle around Paris until the transports started again, and how then we’d take the metro and end up starting a new day at school without going home. Or I could tell you about how I’m always trying to surprise people and contradict their expectations; but I think the best way of finding out who I am is by reading what I write, some of it is far from true and if you ever hope to guess who I am you’ll have to make the difference. I won’t make it easy for you but I invite you to dive into my world, if only to forget about yours for a little while.

Good luck and I hope you like what you find!

If you want to contact me my email address is ldoncieu@gmail.com, I don’t check it very often so don’t panic if I haven’t answered a day later (or eventually a week…) but I’ll get to it. 🙂

DragonSpark

Hello to whomever might be strolling across this particular part of our internet cottage. I am DragonSpark, and will be your co-host, though the grounds belong to the headmistress above.

I am a French high school student. Blame the fluent English on my parents. I met the owner of this blog a few years back, in the darkest corners of our middle school library (if it can even be called a library. It was more like three bookshelves and five tables laid out in a room that had no other real function), where she used to write endless stories of elves and dragons, while I aimlessly doodled on scraps of paper. One thing led to another, and now I write on her blog, and she gives me drawings for my birthday.

If you haven’t noticed already, Dragons are my thing. If I can’t become one after death somehow, then this little gravatr I drew and scanned, currently floating in the top right corner of my screen, will do. But that doesn’t tell you much does it? Well, for your information, I am a guy, tall, too skinny for my own good, and incapable of running for an extended period of time. I love to go fast, so go karting, skiing, sailing, and rollerblading are often on the menu. I am also an avid debater, a personality trait that often gets me in trouble.

What do you mean I’m getting off topic? Oh, you want to know about what I do here? Well, when I have the time, I write short stories, most of which are action packed, as I’m not very good with all the intricate feelings and stuff… I’ll usually do either Post-apocalypse, Sci-fi, or Fantasy. Exotic locals and action sequences are my trade. I’m like the Michael Bay of WP…. Except, not as bad as he is, and a lot less rich.

Hope you enjoy! Comments and feedback is always appreciated, and I respond to all of them (or rather I have up until now, but plan to continue the trend).

Cool how you divide Dragonsark from ImabOOkworm…So, I came here because I’ thought I noticed that we happen to be at the opposite ends of the age scale, and I was right! You remind me of my grandson with all that bubbly energy … though you seem to be a girl but then in this day and age, I guess that’s normal … as there are no girl things or boy things just things and I like it that way! So good luck on your future writing and have lots of fun with your dragons and rock and roll…Ciao! Bastet!

Ouch don’t be so extreme! I like to think I’m not exactly a child anymore (and you can’t be THAT old to write so well) and yes I am a girl but DragonSpark is a boy (yes he’s a real live boy in case you thought I had a dual personality, which I might but not here), I didn’t put my age because I didn’t want people to think I was just a child or to be careful of what they write not to shock me, though I suppose this might make me seem younger than I really am…
Yes we both love dragons! Thank you!

Hey! I am just confused which challenge to follow. There’s speakeasy and then there’s friendly prompts. If you could provide me a link, I would love to write on that 🙂

Oh I meant the speakeasy, the grid closes tonight so it’s yeahwrite.me/speakeasy I think, if not go on a post that says Speakeasy 166 and click on the image an it should take you there.
Friendly prompts is just a thing I do myself there’s no link, you can participate in any, any time you want if you want. I ask friends for three words or any other kind of prompt an I write something including it. Feel free to prompt me if you want but right now I have exams so I may take a while to write something. If you prompt me I’ll link you in my answer so you’ll know.
        Hope it helps 🙂

Yes it helped. I’ll maybe take part in the next speakeasy task. About the friendly prompt, I’ll try doing one.
All the best for your exams 😀

Oh that’s pretty cool to have two authors, it’s a good thing you have two avatars or I’d be forever thinking “wait, who am I speaking to” 😉

And I loved the line “France, the country of love, fashion, food, and people on strike”. So true, I hadn’t been back for 4 years until recently and bam – there were several strikes. Haha. Lovely to have met you guys – chat soon!

Ah…. So the place has changed a little bit. Who bought that new title? And an extra shelf up there.

I believe it was you who earned the title so the second shelf that previously said “and DragonSpark” was cleared to allow something else to take its place. If you don’t like what it says or have any other/better ideas I’m all ears… or eyes, seeing as I’m reading not listening… 🙂

Any thoughts?...
